Ankh of Anubus

I felt it imperative that I commit some music towards those folks that helped to shape my spiritual compass. Whether painting, Sculpting, GO JU RYU Karate and many other experiences, these teachers and family members were a part of those events. Anubus is the Egyptian god of the cross over in life forms. Totally appropriate for this effort. Keep the light records LLC. will be the label.

In studio recording for both Tribe Konfuciousklan and Ankh of Anubus. Two releases due shortly.

Collabs

I'm working on two projects simultaniously. Not unusual by any means. The idea of collabs is tricky. It's chemistry and taste driven. U don't want the commercial feel. So in studio u get the chance to be a kid in the toy chest, or inmate on lockdown.

Jimmy Hendrix has been on my mind all day. Decades later and he is still beyond comprehension. He made composers get day jobs. DH

Working on it, or it's working me. Either way music is being made.

I' m playing classical piano today. It seems I've caught a cold and I don't trust my ears. These sessions can tell on u.

we're running a rough track of a new piece called"Taj". on our myspace band page. It's one way we get a sense of direction in studio. Helps to avoid working in a vacuum.

Wondering how many folks could feed their families for the price of any gown worn at the academy awards. We r truly lost.

Poverty and photo ops

When Haiti endured it's latest tragedy, every person with even remote dreams of immortality via celebrity, clamored to be seen waiving the banner of hope. Singing and re frying old beans. "We r the world pt.2. "Look at me i'm concerned can't u see?" was the mentality of the self orained.

Then Chile. Fewer cries due to the lack of demographic kickback, yet still something. Now the Academy awards. Without breaking stride, these superficial minions clamor to be "seen', on a red carpet to, annoint a movie about blue folks being saved by a handicapped white male. His virtual morp into a foreign culture to raise them from the dredges. Wow, maybe Hollywood is heaven. Filled with transparent spirits making grandiose inroads based on imaginary synergy with the invisible masses. Don't it make u wanna sing? lol

Collabs

I've been fortunate enough to have a couple of collab projects pumping as well as our own CD. So it's definately spring again.

In studio doing heavy piano work tonight.

Hoping that at some point that cures for illness like cancer and Aids take priority over whether Brad Pitt and Angela Jolie stay together.

There's a heavy numerical significance behind the numbers as most cultures would surely attest. However, on a personal note, it's the last stage of thought before we act. I guess the point is to think clearly then get off your ass. DH

If you want a certain thing, you must first be a certain person. Once you are that certain person, obtaining that certain thing will no longer be a concern of yours.
