Focus in the midst of the Gaga

We're getting a lot of projects on top of the scheduled tour and CD release due in July. I'm not complaining just thinking out loud. The musical biz landscape is definitely a trip. There's more websites devoted to sapping folks to take their funds and while giving them the American Idol fraud via Cyber world. Too many outlets for even less promise in talent. More head shots and muddy mp3 tracks imitating what passes from the realms of fluff. In any case the point is that to have the career we do and life I live is definitely a blessed one in effect but tremendous work. I thought of a cat that plays with the Dave Matthews band that said he could play every day without tire if he could forgo the things that encompass this craft. In any case what I believe is lost is the sheer simple pleasure of the creative process. Everything seems broken down to some home spun theory of it's true origin. Is it the artist or the toys? If one who reads this can simply keep that inner child going in your craft, regardless of how the landscape shifts you will come out ahead. worth the effort.
